How to Apply

Current On-Campus Arts and Science students

If you are already an Arts and Science student attending classes on-campus at Queen’s, are in second year or above, and wish to complete a certificate program in addition to your degree, please email asc.studentservices@queensu.ca with your request. Please note that the Certificate in Academic Writing is not available to on-campus ��Ӱֱ�� students.

Current Arts and Science Online students

Queen’s Faculty of Arts and Science (FAS) has carefully reviewed its academic program offerings through Arts and Science Online (ASO) and has decided to no longer accept new admissions to its fully online degree and certificate programs, as of January 2024.

Current on-campus ��Ӱֱ�� Business, Engineering, and Health Science students

If you are a ��Ӱֱ�� student in a faculty other than Arts and Science and wish to complete a certificate program in addition to your degree, please complete .

Part-time, Off-campus, Future ��Ӱֱ�� Students

Studying Arts and Science but interested in business? The unique Certificate in Business offered by Smith School of Business is an accelerated way to gain a competitive advantage in the job market. You will learn business fundamentals, financial and management accounting, marketing, finance and organizational behaviour while completing your major within Arts and Science.

Please note: With the exception of students who have transferred from another Faculty or School into the Faculty of Arts and Science, a maximum of 6.0 units from courses offered by other Faculties and Schools (including the Smith School of Business) may be counted towards the Program and/or Plan requirements of any degree in the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Certificate in Law

Studying Arts and Science but interested in Law? This unique Certificate in Law is an accelerated way to gain a competitive advantage in the job market or to access post-secondary studies. You will learn about Canadian Law, Aboriginal Law, Workplace Law, Corporate Law, Public & Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property and International Law in addition to completing your major within Arts and Science.

��Ӱֱ�� Certificate in Law has been designed for ��Ӱֱ�� Arts and Science students as an undergraduate Law program to be offered by the Law Faculty both online and in a blended format on campus.

Please note: With the exception of students who have transferred from another Faculty or School into the Faculty of Arts and Science, a maximum of 6.0 units from courses offered by other Faculties and Schools may be counted towards the Program and/or Plan requirements of any degree in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
